Agony & Ecstasy

The word "extreme" has been attached to everything from flipping a house to dangerous sports. But in a matter of three days the most extreme suffering and extreme glory occurred in the life of Jesus the Christ. We're calling it "Agony & Ecstasy".
This year for Easter we are having a Good Friday service on Friday, April 6th at 6:30pm to reflect on the agony of the cross followed by Easter on Sunday, April 8th with the ecstasy of the resurrection of the Savior! We are encouraging everyone to attend both services.
On Sunday there will be two services at 8:30am and 10:15am with a
continental breakfast a half hour before both services.
Easter Schedule:
First Service Breakfast - 8:00am
First Service - 8:30am
Second Service Breakfast - 9:45am
Second Service - 10:15am
No Evening Activities
If you are coming to the breakfast, please come to the one before the service you will be attending. This will help us with parking, space and overall flow.
Parking Information
Due to larger crowds on Easter, we will be shuttling people from the VFW's West Parking Lot at 1309 NE 66th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313. Please see the map below for more details. We want to make parking as easy and simple as possible. If you are visiting Saylorville on Easter Sunday, please park in our main parking lots near the church. We will have many volunteers to help you park and direct you to the breakfast and worship times.

Parent Time Away

Parents need time away from their kids.
The youth are hosting a Parent Time Away on Friday, April 13th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the church. This is for parents with kids nursery through 5th grade. Drop your kids off at the church and the youth will watch your kids for $2 per child. All money from PTA will go toward the youth's Haiti Missions Trip this summer.
Visioneering: God's Blueprint for Developing and Maintaining Vision
By Andy Stanley
Vision is a preferred future. A destination. Vision always stands in contrast to the world as it is. Visioneering, according to bestselling author Andy Stanley, is “a clear mental picture of what could be, fueled by the conviction that it should be.” With warm, down-to-earth practicality, Andy Stanley explores the ordinary life of Nehemiah and his God-given vision for accomplishing the extraordinary. He shows how the life of this great ancient visionary, determined to rebuild the ruined walls of Jerusalem, reveals principles that can prepare us to find and follow God’s multifaceted vision for our own lives
