The Treasure Principle
By Randy Alcorn
Bestselling author Randy Alcorn introduced readers to a revolution in material freedom and radical generosity with the release of the original The Treasure Principle in 2001. Now the revision to the compact, perennial bestseller includes a provocative new concluding chapter depicting God asking a believer questions about his stewardship over material resources. Readers are moved from the realms of thoughtful Bible exposition into the highly personal arena of everyday life. Because when Jesus told His followers to “lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven,” He intended that they discover an astounding secret: how joyful giving brings God maximum glory and His children maximum pleasure. Discover a joy more precious than gold!
Week of Prayer 2012

We are kicking off a Week of Prayer starting Sunday night, March 25th. There are five ways for you to pray more specifically and fervently throughout the week.
1. Pick up a journal on Sunday night and commit to praying in specific ways every day.
2. Attend a designated prayer meeting on Wednesday at 7:00pm or Friday (fasting recommended) at 11:45am.
3. Participate in Thursday's 24 Hours of Prayer by committing to pray in a half hour time slot. (See sign up form below)
4. Use your cell group time to focus specifically on prayer.
5. Attend next Sunday night's Concert of Prayer.
Agony & Ecstasy

The word "extreme" has been attached to everything from flipping a house to dangerous sports. But in a matter of three days the most extreme suffering and extreme glory occurred in the life of Jesus the Christ. We're calling it "Agony & Ecstasy".
This year for Easter we are having a Good Friday service on Friday, April 6th at 6:30pm to reflect on the agony of the cross followed by Easter on Sunday, April 8th with the ecstasy of the resurrection of the Savior! We are encouraging everyone to attend both services.
On Sunday there will be two services at 8:30am and 10:15am with a
continental breakfast a half hour before both services.
Easter Schedule:
First Service Breakfast - 8:00am
First Service - 8:30am
Second Service Breakfast - 9:45am
Second Service - 10:15am
No Evening Activities
If you are coming to the breakfast, please come to the one before the service you will be attending. This will help us with parking, space and overall flow.
Parking Information
Due to larger crowds on Easter, we will be shuttling people from the VFW's West Parking Lot at 1309 NE 66th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313. Please see the map below for more details. We want to make parking as easy and simple as possible. If you are visiting Saylorville on Easter Sunday, please park in our main parking lots near the church. We will have many volunteers to help you park and direct you to the breakfast and worship times.

Parent Time Away

Parents need time away from their kids.
The youth are hosting a Parent Time Away on Friday, April 13th from 6:00pm to 8:30pm at the church. This is for parents with kids nursery through 5th grade. Drop your kids off at the church and the youth will watch your kids for $2 per child. All money from PTA will go toward the youth's Haiti Missions Trip this summer.
