Pastor Jeremy Kidder of Martensdale Community Church was the guest speaker for the weekend. He graduated from Masters Seminary with a M Div in Biblical Counseling.
The Case for Biblical Counseling
This is a seminar focused on introducing all saints in the church to the function and importance of a Biblical Counseling Ministry within the local church. Topics of discussion include Spiritual Warfare, understanding the difference between Biblical Counseling and Secular Counseling models, understanding the goal of Biblical Counseling. It is a refreshing look at the practicality of biblical counseling in the lives of believers and how the Scripture is sufficient for spiritual health.
A Biblical Understanding of Self Esteem and Self Image
This seminar is targeted towards leaders and those sensing a calling to Biblical Counseling within the local church. This seminar looks at the topic of self esteem with the goal of laying the foundational principles of Biblical Counseling by comparing and contrasting secular psychology, integrational Christian counseling methods, and Biblical Counseling (nouthetic counseling).
Big Picture, Little Picture
This seminar is targeted towards leaders and those sensing a calling to Biblical Counseling within the local church. The topic of discussion will be centered around implementation and impact of a Biblical Counseling ministry on an individual level (little picture) and for a local church (big picture).

Golf is $35 per person and includes 18 holes, cart and lunch. - Please prepay at the table in the coffee cove
Make checks payable to: Saylorville Baptist Church (for both the retreat and for golf)
Please bring your own bedding, pillow and towel. You can bring a tent to sleep in but the cost is still the same. There will be showers available to use and are covered in the retreat cost.

Friday, September 28th
10:30am Golf Tournament. 4 Man Best Ball. Shot gun start. Rice Lake Country Club. Cost $35. Includes box lunch, 18 holes, and a cart.
5:00pm Flag Football Tournament
5:30pm Pizza Feed starts and goes until 7:15 pm
(mini golf, frisbee golf, basketball, floor hockey, ping pong and carpet ball will all be available during this time)
7:30pm Session 1: "Following the Lamb Throughout our Day" (Developing a Genuine Fear of God) - Pat Nemmers
