Mark Bear
Intern

Mark Bear has lived in Ankeny, Iowa, his entire life. Although he does not remember the exact day he was saved, he knows for sure that he was a sinner in need of God’s grace and that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for his sins through His death and resurrection. As Galatians 2:16 says, “yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.”
Mark believed God was calling him to ministry during the summer after his sophomore year as he became more involved in music and worship. During his senior year of high school, Mark served as the worship leader for Saylorville Students, where he developed a passion for leading others in worship and helping them grow in their faith.
Mark is serving as an intern to gain experience in different areas of ministry and to continue discerning where God may be leading him. Starting in mid-August 2026, Mark will attend Cedarville University to study Worship and Theology as he prepares for future ministry opportunities.
