Jerrod has been blessed to grow up in a Godly Christian home. His parents, John and Bev Leonard, are missionaries to Brazil. At age four he knew that he was a sinner and needed a Savior. That is when he believed what Romans 10:9 says, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” God really spoke to Jerrod’s heart his senior year of High School and he felt God had set him apart for ministry. He went to college for just that and did a year internship at a church in Michigan after college. He has served as a volunteer youth leader, and Children’s Ministry Director at Saylorville in the past and now serves as our Youth Ministries Pastor. Jerrod knows that the younger years are so formative in kids’ lives and is excited to partner with parents in helping their kids come to Christ so that they have their whole lives to serve Him.
Jerrod enjoys soccer, golfing, camping, and hanging out with his wonderful wife Alyssa and their 2 kids: Adrianna & Kenlee.
