Dave and Laura started attending Saylorville in December of 2013. They were new to the area and started searching online for churches with expository preaching rather than topical. That led them to Saylorville Church and after visiting several times they knew it was their new home church.
Dave’s mother led him to Christ as a young boy. At the time his parents were in full-time ministry with Child Evangelism Fellowship, focusing on training children’s leaders and teachers. His mom would often practice her lessons on him, so he heard the Gospel frequently and on a level that he could understand. After one such “practice” session, he acknowledged that his sin separated him from God and would keep him out of heaven. He understood that Christ died specifically to fulfill the punishment for his sins and that if he fully trusted Him and His payment on his behalf, he could become a child of God and live with Him in heaven one day. He prayed that day, asking for forgiveness and eternal life.
Dave and Laura are Community Group leaders and youth leaders to our Saylorville Students. He also currently serves as a Deacon.
Dave loves Saylorville Church and he’s excited to be a part of what God is doing through the church! He has come to admire and respect the men serving as Deacon and is very excited to be able to serve alongside them.
