Colton Willey was born in southern Iowa in a non-Christian home. In 2011, while attending the University of Northern Iowa, he came to an understanding his own sinfulness (Psalm 51:5, Rom. 3:23), its consequences (Rom. 6:23), and the need to accept Christ as his personal Savior (Titus 3:5, 1 John 4:10, Eph. 2:1-10). Upon seeing the sacrificial love of Christ portrayed in the movie, The Passion of the Christ, Colton embraced the Gospel and placed his faith in Christ alone for his salvation.
After graduation Colton began attending Saylorville in the Fall of 2014 where he later met his wife, Rachel, and they got married in 2018. Through God’s grace, they welcomed their first daughter, Winry, in 2023.
Colton is currently serving as an intern at Saylorville Church and is passionate about helping people see the unveiled glory of God in Christ (2 Cor. 5:14-21). He enjoys disc golf, gaming, coffee, reading, kayaking and connecting with people to share Christ.
