AJ had the blessing of growing up with strong Bible believing Christian parents. At five years old, he remembers learning that he was a sinner and that he needed a true Savior. It was at that age that he confessed with his mouth and believed in his heart that the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ is what ultimately saved him from his sins. In middle school, he really started to grow in his walk with Christ. As AJ has matured, Titus 3:5 has become a key verse in his life, “He saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit.”

AJ graduated high school in the spring of 2022 and worked his first internship at Saylorville Church during the summer of 2022. Through this internship, he felt the Lord calling him to ministry. AJ completed two years of Biblical Studies at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny, IA. After he graduated college, he wanted to work in construction to learn different aspects of the trades. He was married in June 2025 to his wonderful wife, Mia.

AJ and Mia are excited for the opportunity to serve the youth at Saylorville Church. AJ is passionate about working with youth due to those who took time to invest in him during his middle school and high school years. His desire is to continue the impact others had on his life, by pointing the next generation to the hope we have in Christ.
