Lisa is the part-time Secretary at Saylorville. Growing up, her family attended a Catholic church and she learned a reverence for the holy and almighty God. But outside of church, God placed specific people in her life to help bring her to Him. The first person to introduce her to a relationship with Jesus was an 8th grade friend, Melissa. Her dad was a pastor and they took her to church, youth group and church camp. As she got older, God brought her future husband and his family into her life. They continually invited her to their church and encouraged her growth in the faith. It wasn’t until 1999 that the heartbreak of losing her mom to illness brought her to her knees to surrender her heart to Christ. (James 1:2-4) She no longer wanted to just be a good person and attend church; she wanted to live her life for The One who died for her.
For fun, Lisa enjoys soccer, volleyball, skiing and reading. Lisa and her husband Brian met and grew up in Bellevue, Nebraska. They were married in 1996 and have three children: Emily, Joseph and Jason. They have been attending Saylorville since 2006.
