Nathan and Maam Beckman, along with their 2 children, serve as church planters to the Thai people in Bangkok, Thailand. They have served in Thailand with Baptist Mid-Missions since 1998. The need for evangelism in Thailand is immense. About 95% of Thais practice Buddhism mixed with Animism. The country has approximately 18,000 Buddhist temples. Islam makes up about 4%. The majority of Muslims live in the area just north of Malaysia. Less than 1% are evangelical Christians.
