Joanna grew up divided between Michigan and Minnesota with mixed beliefs and instruction about God. While she attended a Christian school, it wasn’t until her junior year of high school that God broke through her conflicted beliefs and called her to Himself. It was then that she realized just how broken she was from her sin and turned her life to Christ. She then came to Ankeny for college where she met her now-husband, Mark. They started attending Saylorville in 2002 and have been here ever since. They have 3 living children: Jamee, Kahlan and Juddsen. Joanna keeps busy with homeschooling, crafting and all things family. Whenever possible she and Mark like to get out on the motorcycle and chase the sunset.
