Who are we?
Saylorville Church has been declaring the Glory of God in Christ for more than 150 years. From humble beginnings in a log cabin to our wonderful building we worship in today, Saylorville Church exists to make more people more like Jesus. We are a vibrant, family-friendly, Gospel-centered church in Des Moines, Iowa.

We believe God gives His church a clear mandate in Scripture: to glorify Him by helping people become increasingly devoted followers of Jesus Christ. We want to see that take place at Saylorville Church, in our local community, in the Des Moines metro and all around the world.
When are your services?
Sunday Morning
We have three services at 8:00am, 9:30am and 11:00am in the auditorium.
Sunday Nights
Sunday Nights at Saylorville runs during the school year once a month at 5:00pm.
Wednesday Nights
On Wednesdays, during the school year, we have youth group for 6th-12th graders from 6:30-8:30pm.
What are your services like?
Our services have contemporary music and preaching directly from the Bible. Both the music and the message are the same in all Sunday morning services.
At Saylorville our music is contemporary but our focus is on substance and truth over style and performance.
You can get a pretty good feel for our music and preaching by watching one our past live streams.
What should I wear?Do I need a Bible?What translation do you use?
You can wear whatever you like…anything from skirts and dresses to jeans and shorts, casual works just fine.
Here at Saylorville, we preach from the Bible but you do not need to bring a Bible to attend. We preach from the English Standard Version (ESV).
What's available formy kids and teens?
Infant and Toddler (through 2 ½ years old): Nurseries are available for all Sunday morning and all Sunday evening activities.
2 ½ years through preschool: Children’s Church is available during all Sunday morning service and all Sunday evening activities.
Kindergarten through 5th grade: Saylorville Kids is our children’s ministry and meets in the Family Life Center Sunday morning during the third service (11:00am) throughout the summer, in all three morning services throughout the school year and during all Sunday evening activities.
6th-12th graders: Saylorville Students is our youth ministry. They meet from 6:30-8:00pm on Wednesday evenings.
How do I get connected?
If you’re new to Saylorville Church, we’d love to meet you and help you start to find your people here at Saylorville. Saylorville Connect is a casual, get-to-know-you lunch at the church. You’ll meet other Saylorville newcomers, interact with several key ministry leaders and volunteers and be greeted by some of our Saylorville pastors and staff. The event is free for you and your whole family.
Community happens when the people of God live and learn together. Community Groups meet all throughout the week all around the Des Moines metro. Join a Community Group and find your people.
