How to Walk in the Spirit

Nearly every day in our neighborhood two women walk by our house. Unless it’s really cold, they’re out there – walking. The way they’re walking tells me they mean business and are probably working up a good sweat. But, there’s always something else going on – they’re talking and laughing and often looking at one another as they scoot on by. Whenever I see them, it makes me smile. It’s evident they not only know one
another, they enjoy one another. I never doubt I’ll see them the next day.

Do you like to walk? I don’t mean just for exercise but to think and contemplate life? Maybe you prefer to walk with someone, like your spouse or, like the ladies I see most days, a friend. The Bible is a book filled with metaphors and the one most used is walking. Walking with God. In fact, when Jesus called His disciples, He did so by saying, “Follow Me” or, “Walk with Me.” Later, Paul directed us to “Walk in the Spirit.”

What does it mean to walk in the Spirit? How do we even do that? And, what are the results? During our fall module on Saturday, September 28th from 8:00am-11:30am, we will answer those questions and more in a teaching we’re simply calling, “How to Walk in the Spirit.” Our goal is to assist you in deepening your intimacy, your relationship – your walk! – with the Living God.

Childcare is available through 2nd grade. The cost is free but please sign up online.
