Ian grew up in a churchgoing family in central Iowa. He gave his life to Christ in early middle school after realizing the burden of his sin he had been clinging to. He finally let go and asked Jesus to take away his sin and save him. It was then that he experienced the peace, joy and salvation that comes only through Christ. He was baptized shortly afterward.

Ian started attending Saylorville Church in 2018. God used the ministry of Saylorville Church to sanctify him and help him to grow in his faith to the point he felt the call to pursue an internship. Ian is married to his loving wife, Sofia. They’ve been together since 2020 and were blessed with their daughter, Lillian, in the summer of 2026.

When Ian is not at work, you can find him spending time with his family, playing drums or hanging out at a local car show.
