The Saylorville Seniors ministry is dedicated to helping our older generation continue to fellowship with other like-minded believers. Whether enjoying the beautiful tulips and tasty Dutch Letters in Pella to enjoying a relaxing breakfast together in a local park, our goal is to help those of retirement age and older know how important they are to the well-being of our entire faith family. Everyone is welcome.
We normally meet at 11:30am on the third Thursday of each month. Occasionally, however, due to the nature of specific events, this date and time has to be changed.
A number of Bible studies have been formed for both the senior men and women. These studies are both educational and enjoyable for our seniors.
One study is offered periodically at the church for our senior women. This study, made up of eight to ten ladies, is led by Linda Woodbury and is scheduled in eight week intervals; if you are interested, please contact Linda at Lwoodbury1@aol.com.
A second group is made up of fifteen to twenty men who meet every Tuesday morning at 7:30am in the lower-level conference room of Cupp Insurance Agency in Polk City. This building is located on the north side of Polk City’s Town Square; if you are interested, please contact Arlan Thorson at email@example.com.
A third group of six to eight men meet at 9:45am each Wednesday morning in the conference room area of the Park Fair Mall; if you are interested, please contact Ken Nivala at firstname.lastname@example.org.
All activities, both Bible studies and monthly events, are designed to better help seniors grow closer to each other as well as to the Lord.
