Saylorville Kids will run each of the three morning services with nursery through preschool available year-round and Kindergarten through 5th grade available during the school year.
We offer two separate nursery areas in order to provide an age-appropriate setting for your children.
Infant – Newborns through confident walker.
Toddler – Confident walker through 2 ½ years.
2 ½ – 3 Yrs
This class helps the kids transition from nursery to our preschool class. In this class, the kids will play, have a short Bible lesson, do a craft, sing songs and have a snack. Your child is welcome to join this class the week after turning 2 ½ and will remain in the class until turning 4.
4 yrs – Kindergarten
This class is formatted similar to a traditional school classroom setting. In this class, children will learn and recite Bible verses, participate in large group worship and Bible lessons, play games, eat snacks and do crafts. Your child is welcome to join this class after turning 4 and will remain in the class until “kindergarten graduation” each spring.
If you have any further questions about birth – Kindergarten, please contact Alice Bear (firstname.lastname@example.org.)
1st – 5th Grades
These classes follow a format similar to the 4s through kindergarten classes. During class time your child will learn and recite Bible verses and participate in worship, large group lesson time and small groups.
Questions regarding 1st – 5th grade classes can be directed to Rachel Willey (email@example.com)
Safety and Security
For your child’s safety and your peace of mind, we:
Do background checks on all volunteers.
Require all volunteers to be members of Saylorville.
Provide a random-numbered security tag for each parent and child.
Confirm the parent’s possession of the security tag before releasing a child at check-out.
Where does it meet?
All classes meet in the Family Life Center in age-graded classrooms. If you’re a first time visitor, please stop at the Check-In Desk to get your child registered.
When does it meet?
Sunday mornings during each moring service at 8:00am, 9:30am & 11:00am.
What do you teach?
2 ½ through 3 years
The 2 ½-3 year olds meet together in a class that helps transition them from nursery to the preschool class. In their class, they play, do a craft, have a snack, participate in group activities that get them engaged in the lesson and learn important truths about who God is.
4 years through 5th Grade
We use The Gospel Project which is a Christ-centered Bible study resource that follows a chronological timeline of Bible event presenting the story of redemption through Jesus as kids have never seen it before!
