Amy Hambly

Amy had the privilege of being raised in a loving Christian home and grew up as a pastor’s kid. The gospel was always present in her home and at the young age of four, she understood that she was a sinner and would spend eternity in hell. (Romans 3:23) There was nothing she could do on her own to earn her way to heaven. (Ephesians 2:8-9) On a Sunday evening in a small town in Iowa, she confessed her sins, believed that Jesus died for her and rose again and accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. She went on to study elementary education and music at Faith Baptist Bible College. She enjoyed being able to travel on several music ministry teams and developed a true passion for the gospel, God’s Word, people and music. Amy and Brant were married in 2005, and have been attending Saylorville Church ever since. They have two daughters, Claire and Ellie, and have welcomed many children into their home through foster care. She knows that worship is so much more than beautiful music, and desires to bring glory to God through everything that she does to make His name great. One of her favorite verses is Psalm 115:1 “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and faithfulness!”
