C.S. Lewis once said, “We only learn to behave ourselves in the presence of God.” He also said, “The most valuable things the Psalms do for me is to express the same delight in God which made David dance.”
This is a reference to 2 Samuel 6, where David dances around in absolutely delight before the Lord that the Ark has been returned to Jerusalem. David even goes so far as to say, “I am willing to look even more foolish than this, even to be humiliated in my own eyes!”
How do you approach worship? Are you so enraptured with the exaltation of the Lord that you’re willing to look “foolish?”
Join us as we dive into the Lord’s Prayer. We’ll sing and pray our way through the Lord’s Prayer. It may seem awkward. It may seem foolish, but it’s guaranteed to be a night where the Lord is exalted.
…and maybe, just maybe, it’ll be a catalyst for deeper worship and more sincere prayer.
